The Detroit Red Wings are sweeping their way through the playoffs, taking every team they face out in a heart beat. Their first and second lines are so strong that they now have a nine game winning streak, and still have guys getting hat-tricks. Their strength is unrivaled. I am so proud to be a Red Wings fan right now, and I am cheering them on through the rest of these games!

I would be a Wings fan, except for the octopus thing. As an animal activist, I cannot support any organization that allows such cruelty.
Well, I love the Wings, they are the best team ever. I would quickly get past the part of the octopus, the team does not support their fans throwing dead octopus on the ice, and any true fan knows that.
GO WINGS!!
But if they don’t support it, why aren’t they doing more to discourage it? I know at GM Place in Vancouver, they check every bag that comes in on game night. If they did the same in Detroit and fans who were caught trying to bring in octopi were no longer allowed in to watch the game (as an example) then I would give some allowance to the team. But from what I’ve read, there isn’t *that* much done to discourage it. Well, clearly, because the fans are able to bring them in - they are not being stopped.
I’m not going to start a comment war on someone else’s blog so this will be my last comment on the subject.
