I know at GM Place in Vancouver, they check every bag that comes in on game night. If they did the same in Detroit and fans who were caught trying to bring in octopi were no longer allowed in to watch the game (as an example) then I would give some allowance to the team. But from what I've read, there isn't *that* much done to discourage it. Well, clearly, because the fans are able to bring them in - they are not being stopped.
